Chapter 1
Biscuit
Hello, hello, sparkly stars! It's me, Biscuitâyour feelings friend with space boots and wiggly toes! Today, oh today, I've got something so zoomy and fizzy to talk about... Have you ever felt so excited that it feels like your whole body is full of squiggly worms? Or maybe your legs just want to bounce, and your tummy is more giggly than a jelly planet? That, my lovely friends, is what I call the wigglesâthe energy wiggles!
Biscuit
I get them, too. Oof, sometimes, if I'm looking forward to a birthday party, or oh! The first day at a new school, it feels like a little party is happening inside me. Everything gets a bit fizzyâlike a bottle of bubbles that someone shook up and forgot to open slowly. My knees bounce under the table, my toes go all wriggly in my socks, and sometimes I just start giggling and can't stop. Anyone else get extra-silly giggle fits at the worst times? Yep, me too. It's like my giggles have to come out, even when I'm trying to be mega serious!
Biscuit
You know, last time, we talked about wobbly worriesâhow naming them makes them less scary. Well, excitement is a feeling too, and it's brilliant to notice what it does in our bodies! Sometimes, we have to sit stillâooh, like quiet story time at schoolâbut the wiggles don't listen. My mum says, 'Biscuit, youâre like a wind-up robot that lost its off button!' And she's right. How does it feel for you? Maybe your toes do their own dance under the table, or you feel your heart going thumpety-thump in your chest. Thatâs your body telling youâyouâve got big, happy energy!
Chapter 2
Biscuit
Now, what can you do when those wiggles just wanna burst out? I found some really fun waysâwell, I mean, they're my favourite secret tricks. Sometimes, when everything's bubbling up, I do my special spaceship dance. And, I'm not even jokingâit looks a bit silly, but who cares? You stretch your arms wide like rocket wingsâzoom!âspin around, and wiggle your bottom like blast-off. It makes me laugh every time.
Biscuit
Or, I grab some coloured pencils and scribble my excitement like a zig-zag lightning storm. Drawing is like letting your hands do the wriggling for you. And when I'm feeling super noisy, I do little 'bip boop' sound effects! I once made a âbeep beep bopâ song on the breakfast table with spoonsâMum wasn't thrilled about the noise, but I felt much better after. There are loads of waysâwhat about you? Do you stretch, dance, make silly faces, or maybe give a high five to your pillow? Hmm. Maybe your energy wants to come out as a dinosaur stomp or a superhero jump! If you're listening right now, maybe just pause for a second and ask yourself, 'How do I share my excitement?' You might have your own energy moves. I mean, your way is probably even cooler than the ones I know!
Chapter 3
Biscuit
But, you know, sometimes I get a bit too fizzyâlike, so much zoomy energy I canât even hear myself think. Thatâs when I try my best secret calming-down tricks. The first thing? I do a long, slow breathâlike blowing out birthday candles super gently so the flame does a funny wiggle. Wanna try it together? Breathe in like youâre smelling yummy cookies... and out super slow... Well done!
Biscuit
Sometimes I count backwardsâfrom three, two, oneâas I squeeze my soft squishy star cushion really tight. Oh, you should meet my star! Sheâs the best for when my fingers are itchy or need a squeeze. I close my eyes and imagine Iâm hugging my cushion all the way up in space, floating and bouncing on gentle clouds, far away from everything fizzy and busy.
Biscuit
Before we finish today, I wanna tell you a little bedtime story for your buzzy body. Picture this: itâs the end of a busy, super-exciting day. You curl up with your soft toy, close your eyes, and imagine youâre drifting on a warm, gentle cloud. It rocks you, slow and soft, up in the stars. All the giggles and lively feelings fade into stardust, and your breath floats like a sleepy comet. You feel calmâsafe with your feelings, safe in your bed. Thatâs where Iâll leave you tonight, my lovely friends. You did amazing being with your wiggles today! Next time, weâll share even more stories about our wonderful, wobbly feelings. Until then, keep shining your sparkle. Night night!
